Every time I finish watching one of Casey Nesitat’s videos I end up with an urge to create something, anything, a drawing, a podcast episode or a blog post.
Also every time I watch one his videos I learn something new, it can be something about storytelling, or about the timing and rhythm of the editing or something entirely different and unexpected.
But this does not happen by itself, I have to be willing to pay extra attention to what I am watching and hearing, I have to replay it, in order to take notes and then analyze what I saw and let in sink in my mind.
I think every creative person has to do this, I think it is part of the “creative nutrition process” we need in order to grow as creatives, artists or creators.
Which creatives have you analyzed lately? Is it something you do regularly? Or perhaps is something you should do more?
Thanks for reading.
