When you deny your strengths, you hurt your self esteem and become a negative role model.

When you analyze your weaknesses they are not longer uncharted territory and when you acknowledge them, they are less scary and more manageable.

Of course it is not an easy task, but luckily is all about practice.

Make a list of your strengths and keep it at hand, so you can read it when you feel your are losing confidence or momentum, and make a list of your weaknesses too, so you remember in where areas or topics you need to ask for help or guidance. 

Update the lists, every six months, at minimum.

Sooner than later, you will be very familiar with the process and you can have mental lists if they suit you better.

You get extra points if you teach this to your kids (if you have them, of course).
